  • COLLEGE RULES AND DISCIPLINE

    The college authority is strict about a consistent adherence or the academic rules framed for the smooth running of the institution. It also endorses an equal measure of discipline behoving Cambers of an institution, for higher learning.

    Academic Session and Rules :

    1-The college session, spanning from 1st of June to 31st of May each year, is split between the first term (June - December) and second term (January-May)

    2-Students seeking admission to the college must apply on the prescribed forms within the specified dates Admission is allowed on the basis of merit

    3-Students are required to attend classes. A high attendance is a primary requirement for permission to appear in all the examinations. The college acts on the stipulation of the C.H S.E and the Utkal University authorities and requires that a student must attend at least 75% of lectures, tutorials and practical classes to be sent up for +2 and +3 examinations Students with less than 60% attendance risk non-promotion to the next higher class.

    4-The college fees are collected on the days notified during the 2nd & the 4th week of each month. Defaulter students can pay the dues at a later date, as notified subsequently, with default fine. Names of the students who fail to submit dues by due dates are struck off from the attendance registers. Any kind of fine money on grounds of indiscipline is collected along with the tuition fee. Students must collect printed official receipts towards their payments from the Cashier authorized to collect the college dues.

    General Rules :

    While the college promises a clean and healthy academic environ to its students, it seeks cooperation from its students by asking of them the following conducts

    1 Students are required to be punctual in attending lectures.

    2 Students are required to carry their identity cards, issued at the time of admission, during college hours. Not possessing the identity card in the classroom, examination hall or any other occasion of the college may land a student in serious trouble

    3 Students are required to leave their addresses with the college office. In case of a need for leave, a student must apply for the same to the Principal

    4 Students are required to lodge their grievances through written applications to be dropped in a box meant for the purpose.

    5 A student representing the college for a feat outside should do so with the approval of the Principal

    6 Students are required to deposit the tuition fee from outside the counter of the Accounts department, instead of forcing entry there. Students generally are not allowed entry into the college office.

    7 Students must look for office orders, decisions and other instructions on the college notice boards for necessary information They should refrain themselves from removing notices and letters from the board They must not affix private notices thereon.

    8 Students are required to maintain cleanliness and tidiness inside the college premises These gestures range from the facil 'desisting from disfiguring college walls' or ' utilizing the bicycle stand' of the college, to the sophisticated 'preservation of the greenery' of the college

    9 Reports on indiscipline and misconduct of students would be sent to the respective guardians for their intimation. The guardians have access to the Principal, and are advised to meet the Principal and the staff to check for themselves the welfare of their wards.

    Dress Code :

    The Government of Orissa in the Department of Higher Education have been pleased to introduce Dress Codes for the Students of the Colleges in order to maintain uniformity, purity and sanctity of the institutions. it is the duty of a student to maintain Uniformity in Dress as prescribed by the College Authorities After being admitted, it is mandatory on the part of a student to collect the Dress-Code from the College Office and be dressed as per the colours prescribed therein.

    Formats of Application:

    Some formats of applications have been exhibited below. Students desirous of obtaining some academic document(s) from the College Office are required to apply in the formats prescribed hereunder to the Principal through proper channel to get such document(s).The applications are to be made by a student neatly written on A-4 size paper)
